Love For Hip-Hop & Design, Raised In Lagos.

Hi, My name is Fawaz, also known as “Loopy”. Sounds like a rapper’s name? hahaha, I’m not a rapper,

however I listen to Hip-Hop a lot, I really like it. I listen to rap cyphers and watch rap battles, and my favorite

rap acts are: vector, mi, aq. I enjoy listening to these guys. You should check out my playlist, strictly for

rap heads though.

I was born and raised in Lagos Island, Lagos, Nigeria, and I really do love Lagos. I always say to myself, that

I might probably get a small “Lagos Island” tattoo, when Nigeria becomes a safer and better place (to live

freely without being harassed by the police).

The design career started when I interned at Portfolio Advisor’s Limited, Lagos, in year 2021, I worked on

basic Graphic design stuff.

In 2021, I joined a community, (GDSC, KWASU Chapter, Nigeria) launched for the university techies, as a

Product Design Track Member.

Also, I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, from Kwara State University, Nigeria (2021).

I am Product designer who loves to solve problems. I’m a user-centered designer, who looks thoroughly

into users’ minds while attempting to solve their problems. I am passionate about designing products

that meet the business vision and users’ goals, and I also believe in the aesthetic usability phenomenon.

Since my Product design got under way, I’ve been a freelancer, a contractor, and also a fulltime

Product designer. Currently, I hold the position of a Product designer at SwapGo, a Fintech Startup in

the UK (remotely), aiding to build financial solutions, and Zercom Systems, a Custom Software Development

firm in Lagos, that builds and distributes technological solutions to organizations. Here, I’m designing for the

firm's prime products, Tangerine LMS web app (iterating on it for improvements in its usability and aesthetics)

and also designing the first ever version of Terminoxx360 mobile app.

In this recent time, I see myself not just as a Product designer, but also a commentator, maybe because I

observe a lot, and always express my opinion on things I see around me, on social media, and other places.
